The Simon Fraser University women's swim team easily defeated the University of Alaska Fairbanks and the University of Puget Sound in dual meet action on Saturday.
The Clan women beat Fairbanks 75-44, while also getting the better of Puget Sound 87-32 at the Paul and Margaret Savage Pool. The SFU men's team defeated Puget Sound 147-111.
Both Clan relay teams won their respective 200-metre medley events.
Carman Nam won two races for the Clan women's team, taking first place in both the 200m butterfly and 800m freestyle.
The 19-year-old Nam clocked a winning time of 9: 22.84 in the 800, almost two seconds faster than runner-up teammate Meghan Quon.
Nam raced to a 31.60 first leg lead and then cruised to victory in the fly.
Quon also picked up a first-place swim in the 400m free.
Dimitar Ivanov and Julian Monks also posted a pair of wins apiece on the men's side.
Ivanov took top spot in the men's 800m in a time of 8: 39.87. He also placed first with a time of 2: 01.96 in the 200m backstroke.
Monks won his first match of the day in decisive fashion, taking the 100m breaststroke by almost eight seconds in a time of 1: 05.85. His second win was even more one-sided, finishing more than 20 seconds ahead of the runner-up in the 200m breast in a winning time of 2: 24.38.
Also picking up wins for the women were Alexandria Schofield in the 200m free, Kristine Lawson in the 100m back, Courtney Triano in the 100m breast, Nicole Cossey in the free sprint, Grace Ni in the 200m back and Brianna Bailey in the 200m breast.
On the men's side, Adam Kautz, Paolo Olvario, Hans Heyer, Alex Duguay, Kevin Nickerson and Ciaran McDonnell also recorded wins in their respective races.
Kautz edged Kevin Nickerson in the 200m free.
Olavario won the 100m back. Heyer took first place in the 50m free. Duguay touched ahead of Olavario in the 100m free.
Nickerson won the 400m free. McDonnell, 20, was the only swimmer under one minute in the 100m fly, winning in a time of 57.67.
Duguay, Monks and Ivanov posted the three fastest times in the 200m individual medley, respectively, but were all disqualified following the race.
Bailey and Katie McEvoy of SFU were also disqualified in the IM despite posting very fast times.
