The Simon Fraser University Clan spilt a dual meet against the University of Victoria Vikes last Sunday at the Saanich Commonwealth Pool.

On the women's side, SFU won nine of 15 races, led by senior sprinter Nicole Cossey, who won three individual races, touching for first place in each of the 50-, 100-, and 200-metre freestyle races.

Cossey won by two full seconds in both the 100-metre free (57.67) and the 200m free (2:05.32). She was at her best in the 50 sprint, where she edged Victoria’s third-year swimmer Rachael Newman by 26/100ths of a second, winning in 26.50.
