Simon Fraser University salvaged a win in California with a second-half 51-point comeback win over San Francisco State last Saturday.

Javari Williams scored 14 of his team-high 21 points in the second half in an 81-69 victory over the California school. Williams also led the Clan with six rebounds and four blocked shots.

John Bantock was also a factor, scoring all 10 of his points in the second half. Justin Brown finished second in Clan scoring with 16 points, including a perfect ninefor-nine from the charity stripe.

Showing the fatigue of a second game in as many nights, SFU shot just 27 per cent from the field in the first half.

But the Clan found its range in the second half, opening on a 13-4 run that ended with a threepointer from Connor Lewis that tied the score.

Williams gave the visitors their first lead in the game on a layup. Matt Raivio followed up with a bomb from downtown.

SFU kept up its solid defence and 48-per cent shooting to outscore San Francisco 51-30 in the second half.

On Friday, SFU dropped an 8074 matchup to Sonoma State.

Williams led the Clan with 28 points and seven rebounds.
