Simon Fraser University senior Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe finished off the Great Northwest conference women's basketball regular season with back-to-back double-doubles.
The fifth-year forward posted her 59th career double with 22 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Clan to a 7451 win over Saint Martin's Saints in the final conference league game in Lacey, Washington on Saturday.
Fellow senior Kristina Collins had 14 points and nine assists for SFU, which finished the regular season in second place with a conference record of 16-3.
SFU also defeated Western Oregon on the road with a 62-45 victory last Thursday.
Raincock-Ekunwe again led the Clan, scoring 19 points and adding 12 boards. Collins chipped in with 14 points.
The runner-up finish gave the Clan a bye into the second round of the Great Northwest championships.
SFU will play the quarter-final winner between third-seeded Montana State Billings and sixth seed Seattle Pacific on Friday, March 8.
Conference champion Western Washington will meet either University of Alaska Anchorage or Northwest Nazarene in the other semifinal.
The championship final will be played on Saturday at Lacey, Washington.
Earlier in the week, three Clan players were named to the Great Northwest all-academic team.
Collins earned her third consecutive recognition. The biomedical physiology major earned a 3.70 grade point average this year.
Clan sophomores Katie Lowen and Kia Van Laare of New Westminster were also named to the all-academic team. Lowen posted a 3.39 GPA in arts, while Van Laare earned a 3.27 GPA in kinesiology.
