Goalie Amanda Gilliland recorded her first career shutout to pace the Simon Fraser University women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Hawaii Pacific.
Gilliland made three saves in just her second collegiate start for the Clan to help SFU post its first win of the season in a neutral site game in Bellingham, Washington on Tuesday.
Sophomore Aja Choy-Halo scored the only goal of the game a minute before halftime on a long shot that sailed over the keeper's head. It was the first goal of Choy-Halo's university career.
SFU will host San Francisco's Academy of Art at Terry Fox field on Saturday at 7 p.m.
