Simon Fraser University women's wrestling team won the North American Coaches Association nationals duals championships in Springfield, Illinois on Sunday.
The Clan defeated Oklahoma City 27-13 in the first-place matchup.
SFU opened with a resounding 36-3 victory over the University of Cumberlands and then beat eventual third-place finishing King College 2713 in the semifinals.
"It is a great win for us. The girls wrestled really well (Sunday), and we are just happy to come out on top," said SFU head coach Mike Jones in a Clan press release. "This is definitely one of our best performances."
Helen Maroulis was named the meet's outstanding wrestler, posting decisive wins in all three of her matches at 130 pounds, including a pin over Oklahoma City's Brieana Delgado. Maroulis also defeated former junior world bronze medallist Alli Ragan 1-1, 2-0 in the semifinals.
Victoria Anthony at 109 lbs., Nikki Brar at 116 lbs., Danielle Lappage at 155 lbs., Justina DiStasio at 170 lbs. and Jenna McLatchey at 191 lbs. also won all three of their dual matches.
Anthony was unscored upon in her three bouts, winning two by technical decision and a third by a fall in the second round over King's Marina Sanchez.
DiStasio had just one point scored against her in three matches, which included a pin over Olivia Cepak in the Clan's one-sided win in the quarterfinals.
Lappage opened the competition with a technical decision over Lauren Luive. She then scored a 3-0, 9-2 decision over Julia Salata of Kings. Lappage won her third match by forfeit.
Sidney Morrison at 143 lbs., Laura Wilson at 123 lbs. and Darby Huckle at 101 lbs. all recorded two wins apiece for the Clan.
The Clan women will be seeking individual titles at the Women's Collegiate Wrestling Association Championship on Jan. 25.
