Seventeen-year-old Brandon Morley earned a spot on the regional B.C./Alberta Canada West squad for the World Junior A Hockey Challenge that will get underway in Langley Nov. 7 to 13.
Morley, at 5-8, is one of the smaller forwards on the 22player squad. Former Northwest Giants Alex Kerfoot and Curtis Loik were also named to the team.
Canada West played Canada East in an exhibition game Thursday (after NOW deadlines).
