Mountain United FC placed four teams in the Provincial Premier Cup soccer finals.
The Mountain under-13 and -15 boys’ teams and u-16 and -18 girls will all vie for B.C. Soccer youth titles, when the high-performance league showcases it’s best at Burnaby Lake Sports Complex-West this Sunday.
The u-18 girls dominated Fusion FC 5-1 in the semifinals last Sunday at Windsor Secondary.
Burnaby’s Allyson Dickson led the attack with a pair of goals, while singles came from Maddie Fiest, Andrea Perrotta and Jenaya Robertson. Sydney Bell had a 2-0 shutout going in the first half.
Mountain takes on Surrey United at BLSC-West on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
In another dominating performance by Mountain girls, Anna Stephenson blanked Vancouver Island Wave 2-0 in the u-16 semifinal in Victoria.
Sophie Weaver and Nadia Hakeem, on a penalty, scored for Mountain.
The teen girls take on Coastal FC at 5 p.m.
In Burnaby, the u-15 boys edged Surrey United 1-0 at Fortius Field in their semifinal last Saturday.
Stuart Loop tallied the game-winning goal, while Sam Boporai and Aron Van Vliet shared the shutout in goal for United.
Mountain will face Coquitlam Metro-Ford in the u-15 final at 2:30 p.m.
The u-13 boys were taken to overtime before getting by Coquitlam Metro-Ford 3-2 on Yigal Bruk’s extra-time winner.
Bruk, with his first of the game, and Sam Locher had Mountain ahead 2-1 for most of the game until the Coquitam side tied it up on a penalty in the final minute of regulation time.
The first-year boys face Fraser Valley Premier in the u-13 final, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Three other Mountain teams failed to advance past the semis in their final-four matchups last weekend.
