The Northwest Giants picked up three of a possible four points in their B.C. Major Midget weekend hockey series against the North Island Silvertips.
The Burnaby Winter Club-based Giants opened with a 7-5 win over the Nanaimo club on Vancouver Island on Nov. 19. The two clubs then drew 2-2 in the Sunday rematch.
Mitch Crisanti notched a hat trick, including an empty-netter, to give him a team-leading 14 goals this season.
Justin White tallied a goal and an assist on Trevor Stack's third-period game-winner. Eric Margo also drew an assist on Stack's marker.
On Sunday, Stack and Crisanti again factored into the Giants scoring with goals in the final period. Stack tied the score 1-1 early in the third period, but it was Crisanti's 14th goal of the season with just two minutes remaining that salvaged a single point for the Giants.
The three points put the Giants into a tie for first place with the Northeast Chiefs in the 11-team league.
The Giants will host the Okanagan Rockets at the winter club this Saturday and Sunday.
