B.C. Superweek started off in Delta with Burnaby's turn coming up on Thursday night.
The Giro di Burnaby will kick off on the streets of East Hastings and Albert with the women's race at 6 p.m. The men's race will follow at approximately 7: 15 p.m.
With a cash purse of $15,000 up for grabs, the competition should be exciting. The men's winner will take
home a top prize of $2,000, while the winning female rider will earn $1,200.
Both winners will also receive a gold medallion from title sponsor Palladio Jewellers worth an estimated $1,300.
The Giro course is a 1.3-kilometre loop featuring a fast 200-metre downhill straightaway to the finish.
