Hastings All-Stars are off to a strong start at the Canadian Little League baseball championships in Edmonton.
The provincial champs blanked Ontario 3-0 in the opening game on Saturday, before going 2-0 in preliminary play with a 12-0 decision over Quebec on Sunday.
Steven Moretto of Burnaby led the way with three runs on three hits and three runs batted in in the two wins. Kolby Buljevic also had a hot bat with three hits and two RBI.
Cole Dalla-Zanna delivered a run in each of the two wins, while Carson Ho had two hits and two runs and Noah Hanson-Stafford had a hit, a run and an RBI in the win over Quebec.
