Burnaby's Patrick Switzer made International Gravity Sports Association history last week, becoming the first skateboarder to win a third consecutive open downhill World Cup race following his first-place finish at the Padova Grand Prix in Teolo, Italy last Saturday. The BCIT-sponsored boarder raced down the rainslickened 1.6-kilometre course in 1: 58.801. With the win, Switzer vaulted into the lead in overall World Cup points with 1733.45 points.
