From three-point land, Elisa Homer was golden.
The Simon Fraser University guard put the ball on a fabulous journey last Thursday, en route to leading her team to a pair of victories as well as Homer the Great Northwest Athletic Conference’s women’s basketball Player of the Week honours.
A sophomore, Homer caged a GNAC single-game record with 12 three-pointers in the Clan’s 87-65 triumph over Northwest Nazarene, smashing the previous mark of nine. The 12 treys capped a 40-point scoring barrage for Homer, tying her for the fourth-best single game GNAC result.

She would cap the weekend with 11 points in the team's 56-48 decision over Central Washington. SFU led that one from the beginning, but saw a 38-20 halftime lead reduced over the final 20 minutes to make it a dramatic win. Ellen Kett counted a game-high 19 points for the Clan.
