It's been a tough last two outings for the B.C. Junior Lacrosse League Burnaby Lakers.
The last-place Lakers took it on the chin from the concensus top team in the junior A league on Wednesday, losing 16-2 to the Coquitlam Adanacs at the Poirior Street sports centre.
At home last Sunday, Burnaby was beaten by a similar 16-2 score by the Delta Islanders, which now share top spot in the eight-team ladder with the A's.
Coquitlam took a 2-0 lead before Tyler Buchan, playing in just his second game this season, scored his first of two shorthanded goals.
The junior A's finished off the first period with five consecutive markers, while handing Burnaby starter Jack Woodhouse an early shower.
Xander McDonald came off the bench to make 30 stops the rest of the way in the Burnaby net.
The Lakers are in Victoria this Saturday.
