St. Thomas More Collegiate placed in five of six team aggregates, including first place in the cadet girls' division, at the Western Canada age class wrestling championships in Kamloops on Saturday.
The cadet Knights garnered 44 points overall, including a gold-medal win by Nicole Depa, to better runner-up Cowichan by seven points in the team aggregate.
Depa defeated teammate Alina Mercado at 56 kilograms, while Livleen Sidhu and Christina Fernandes also brought home silver medals in the cadet class.
Sidhu was second at 65 kg, while Fernandes led a strong Knight contingent at 52 kg that included Ciara Disalle and Ciara Corbett, who finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
Natalie Nelson won a bronze medal at 60 kg. Meagan Chow and Izabella Monlar also garnered points for the cadet Knight girls.
W.J. Mouat bested Alberni District and Abbotsford for the cadet boys' title.
STM girls placed fourth and the boys finished seventh in final juvenile team standings.
Clarisse Dos Santos won at 46 kg and Ann Benevoli placed second at 70 kg to garner most of the team points. Victoria Gonzalo was fifth at 49 kg.
Cowichan defeated runner-up Maple Ridge and third-place Sir Charles Tupper in the competitive juvenile girls' class.
The Knight boys were led by runner-up Eric Bauer at 69 kg. Darthe Capellan and Kevin Marshall both placed fourth in their respective juvenile weight classes. Rafal Posypanko was fifth at 100 kg.
Rustom took the boys' aggregate over Alberni on most gold medals.
STM's Massimo Pozzolo was second at 63 kg in the cadet boys' final. Joshua Juni was sixth at 50 kg.
In the school age division, STM was third in the girls' division and eighth in boys'
Caileen Corbett won her pool, while Juliana Casas and Belen Tudela were third and fifth, respectively.
In the boys' division, Andrew Juni won a silver medal. Colby Lanz, Daniel Alphonso and Anthony Benevoli all placed fourth in their respective pools.
Sharar Safi earned a bronze medal for Burnaby South in the juvenile boys' 58 kg division. Abdullah Saib was in the same weight class. Phil Garabanic placed fourth at 76 kg.
The South boys placed 10th in the cadet division.
Gagan Sohal was third at 100 kg, while Denis Ivziku and Jimmy Sidhu both finished fourth at 54 and 85 kg, respectively.
