Evan Thomas ran in three tries for the winners, while Admir Cejvanovic added a pair of five-pointers to the men's scoreline at Burnaby Lake-East.

The win, the club's seventh in a row, improved the Burnaby club's record to 8-3, tying it with idle James Bay and Capilano rugby clubs atop the eight-team ladder.

James Bay holds a slim one-point lead on bonus points over second-place Burnaby Lake.

Burnaby plays host to Capilano on Saturday. Game time is scheduled for 2: 45 p.m.

Burnaby's Div. 1 team clinched the Palmer Cup with a 37-6 win over the 'Lomas.
