OMAC Master's Taekwondo in New Westminster made it to the podium at the recent B.C. provincials at Capilano University in North Vancouver.
Rowena Lau, a second degree black belt, who attends Byrne Creek Secondary School, earned gold in the girls' sparring division.
Evan Chow, a Grade 8 student at St. Thomas More Collegiate, also won a gold medal in the sparring.
Sophie Ibbetson-Lyon, a 10 year old red belt, won silver in both patterns and sparring.
Jason Russell, a green belt student, also earned silvers in patterns and sparring.
Raymond Baptiste, a Grade 8 Moscrop Secondary student, lost a close battle in overtime to earn a silver medal.
Misho Rusev, a Grade 7 student at Glenbrook Middle School, also lost in overtime to win silver.
