Burnaby Mountain won the Vancouver & District juvenile girls’ volleyball championships last week.
The Mountain Lions defeated host Burnaby Central 2-1 in the best-of-three set Grade 9 girls’ championship final on Nov. 18.
Mountain bested Richmond champion Matthew McNair 2-1 to advance to the V&D final.
The Lions knocked off North Vancouver’s Carson Graham 2-1 in the quarter-finals.
The single elimination tournament featured the top nine public school teams from the Lower Mainland, including teams from Richmond, Burnaby, North and West Vancouver.
