NBBC boxer wins main event

North Burnaby Boxing Club's Adam Querido won a unanimous decision in a heavyweight headliner at the first annual Confratellanza Italo Canadese boxing night at the Italian Cultural Centre last Saturday.

North Burnaby Boxing Club's Adam Querido won a unanimous decision in a heavyweight headliner at the first annual Confratellanza Italo Canadese boxing night at the Italian Cultural Centre last Saturday.

Querido won the five-round main event on points over Chris Van Luven of Delta.

In the semi main event, former junior national champion Robert Couzens of Burnaby fought to a four-round draw with Darcy Hinds of White Rock in a light heavyweight bout.

On the undercard, Remy Lavoie of North Burnaby won a unanimous decision over Jerik Brown of Action Boxing.

Ron Price and Rocky Milino Jr. both lost on split decision in their respective middleweight and Junior welterweight categories.
