North Burnaby Boxing Club wins top awards

Lougheed Highway gym win B.C. club of the year and fighter of the year awards for 2014

The North Burnaby Boxing Club came away with a couple of awards at the Cascades Casino in Langley last week.

Kian Heidari of North Burnaby defeated Bryce Gougeon of Sargaents Boxing with a unanimous four-round decision at the Friday night bout.

The night was also a highlight for the Lougheed Highway gym at the annual B.C. Combatitive Sports awards.

Welterweight Rhett Gibbons of North Burnaby won the Best Fighter Award for 2014, while the North Burnaby Boxing Club took home the Combsport Cup for B.C. club of the year in 2014.
