The Notre Dame Jugglers first-ever senior matchup against Lord Tweedsmuir was a less than memorable one.
Tweedsmuir's Jamel Lyles scored four touchdowns and put up nearly 300 yards of total offence in the fifth-ranked Panthers' 41-13 victory over the Jugglers at Burnaby Lake-West on Friday.
The win kept Tweedsmuir tied at 3-1 with St. Thomas More atop the AAA Eastern conference, while Notre Dame's record fell to 1-3 in the west.
Danny Spagnuolo threw a touchdown pass to Aldrich Berrios on Notre Dame's opening drive of the game and senior Anthony Quatrano gave something for the Jugglers' faithful to cheer about in the final quarter with a long, late kickoff return for a score.
But there was no stopping the Panthers, who collectively put up more than 500 yards of total offence, including almost 350 yards on the ground.
"Last week, we had great practices and came out firing. But this week we didn't practice as geat and it showed today," said Quatrano. "A whole bunch of things went wrong today. We couldn't tackle."
Notre Dame takes on Mt. Douglas at Burnaby Lake on Friday. Game time is 4 p.m.
