The Orangeville Northmen won their third Minto Cup in five seasons, following a 9-4 win over the Coquitlam Adanacs at Whitby, Ont. on Saturday.
Orangeville went undefeated at the four-team Canadian junior A lacrosse championship, knocking off Coquitlam on three separate occasions, including a 19-7 trouncing on Friday in the first game of a best-of-three national final.
Coquitlam finished the competition with a record of 2-4, including a 15-11 victory over the host Whitby to earn a berth into the Minto Cup final.
Northmen captain Jeremy Noble was awarded the Jim Bishop award, while netminder Dillon Ward was named the tournament most valuable player.
Rob Hellyer was the MVP in the final game for the Orangemen.
