Panther signs two-year deal with Florida

Mike Santorelli of Burnaby re-signed with the Florida Panthers for a further two years on Wednesday. Last season, the 25-year-old centre posted a career-high 20 goals and 21 assists in his first season with the National Hockey League Panthers.

Last season, the 25-year-old centre posted a career-high 20 goals and 21 assists in his first season with the National Hockey League Panthers.

The deal is reportedly worth $1.6 million a season. Last season, Santorelli was making $600,000 a year.

Santorelli was acquired in a trade with the Nashville Predators in August of last year. He was drafted by the Preds in the sixth round in the 2004 entry draft.

Santorelli played three seasons in the American Hockey League with the Milwaukee Admirals, where he led the team in scoring in his last two seasons.
