Five-time B.C. masters athlete of the year, Tom Dickson of Burnaby, won two age-group races at the recent provincial championships in Langley.
Dickson, 59, placed first in the 100 and 200 metres in the 55-and-over men's division, posting faster times at both distances than the winners at both 45 and 50 years.
Dickson's winning time in the 100m was 12.69, while the Simon Fraser University sprint coach clocked 25.74 in the 200m.
In 2009, Dickson placed third in the 200m at the world masters championships. He won his first world bronze medal in the 100m in 2005.
