Rush set NLL record against Stealth

The Edmonton Rush established a new Natiional pro lacrosse record of nine starts without a loss with a 10-9 win over the Vancouver Stealth

Burnaby Lakers forward Robert Church helped the Edmonton Rush set a new National Lacrosse League record following a 10-9 win over the Vancouver Stealth on Saturday.

Church, who was named the game’s first star, tallied his first pro career hat trick that stood up as the game-winner, giving the Rush a record 9-0 start this season.

Burnaby goalie Tyler Richards was named a third star in the Stealth net.

Edmonton keeper Aaron Bold, with 41 saves, was named the second star.

“We played better but still not good enough,” said Stealth head coach Chris Hall in an NLL press release. “It’s pretty disappointing when you’re 3-8 and you’ve lost 10-9 and 9-8 to the team that’s 9-0.”
