The Simon Fraser University men's hockey club will take on crosstown rival University of British Columbia in the second annual Hockey Classic later this month.
Nearly 1,600 fans showed up to watch SFU win the inaugural Hockey Classic in an overtime shootout following a split in last year's two-game exhibition home-and home series between the two university hockey programs.
This year's event is scheduled to open at UBC's Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre on Friday, Sept. 21.
The second game of the series will be hosted by the Clan at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre on Saturday, Sept. 22. Both games are 7 p.m. starts.
Tickets for both games will be available at the door.
On Sept. 14, SFU hockey will hold its third annual scholarship luncheon at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel in Vancouver.
Tickets are $125 or a table of eight for $800. To register, visit sfuhockeyscholar ships.eventbrite.com.
