The SFU Clan were on the verge of their second Great Northwest Athletic Conference win Saturday in Southern Oregon, but Austin Dodge has something to say about that.

Dodge engineered a game-winning driver for the Raiders in the final minute as Southern Oregon bested the Clan 31-28 in Ashland, Oregon.

Dodge found Patrick Donahue from 22 yards out to give the Raiders the win in a see-saw game that saw multiple lead changes. Dodge threw for 314 yards and two touchdowns while running back Manny Barragan rushed for 203 yards and a touchdown and Donahue finished with 118 yards receiving and two touchdowns.

SFU got scores from Bo Palmer, on a four-yard TD run, a blocked punt for touchdown by Nigel Palma, a quarterback keeper from six yards out by Greg Bowcott and a 36-yard TD pass from Trey Wheeler to B.J. Bryant.

The Clan held a 21-3 first half lead, but couldn't sustain that momentum as the Raiders pulled to within one point at halftime.

The teams would then trade leads before the Raiders got the winning score on the Dodge to Donahue strike.

Wheeler finished with 155 yards passing yards, while Palmer had 147 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Bryant was the leading receiver with 78 yards and a touchdown.

Defensively, the Clan were led by New Westminster Hyack graduate Casey Chin, who finished with 10 tackles and four assists.

The Clan will be back on the road next week when they travel to California to face Humboldt State on Oct. 29 at 6 p.m.
