Simon Fraser University announces varsity schedules

The Simon Fraser University varsity men's soccer team will kick off the season with an exhibition match against the University of Washington in Seattle on Aug. 22.

The Clan's first home game is at Terry Fox Field against Capilano University in a friendly on Aug. 27.

SFU starts the month of September off at home with back-to-back fixtures against Vancouver Island and Thompson Rivers universities on Sept. 1 and 3, respectively.

The varsity men start their second season in the NCAA on the road against Grand Canyon on Sept. 10.

The Clan's Great Northwest conference opener is at home on Sept. 14 against Western Washington University.

SFU will also travel to Hawaii for a three-game exhibition series in October.

FOOTBALL STARTS IN SEPT.

The Simon Fraser University varsity football team will open its second season in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference on Sept. 10.

The grid Clan will play its home opener against the Western Oregon University Wolves.

The first game on the schedule is a non-conference road matchup against the Pacific University Boxers on Sept. 3.

SFU will also play a second non-conference game against Southern Oregon in October.

Other home dates include Humboldt State on Sept. 24, Dixie State on Oct. 8, and Central Washington on Nov. 5.
