Simon Fraser University sophomore Mallory Velte claimed a bronze medal at the women's university wrestling national championships in Oklahoma last weekend.
The California native defeated Forrest Molinari of King University in the consolation bracket to place third at 63 kilograms at the nationals in Oklahoma City.
Velte lost to eventual champion Alexis Porter 12-8 in the semifinals and was relegated to the consolation side of the division.
Clan freshman Francesca Giorgio finished up in sixth place in the 60kg weight class at the nationals.
