Burnaby footballer Christine Sinclair was nominated for yet another award on Wednesday.
The celebrated team captain of Canada's Olympic bronze-medal-winning women's soccer team was one of three athletes named for this year's Sport B.C. female athlete of the year award.
Sinclair is up against overall world ski cross winner, Marielle Thompson, and Olympic bronze medal weightlifter Christine Girard.
In the high school male athlete of the year category, Burnaby Central heavyweight Parm Dhesi was also shortlisted for the top award.
Dhesi, a four-time B.C. high school champion, was also the juvenile national titleist in freestyle and Greco-Roman disciplines last year.
B.C. athletes, coaches and officials in 17 different categories, including athlete with a disability and master athlete, are up for this year's honours.
The 47th annual Athlete of the Year awards will be held at the River Rock Show Theatre in Richmond on Thursday, March 7.
Dinner is at 6: 30 p.m. with awards at 8 p.m.
