Riley Loewen of Burnaby garnered a seven-point outing to lead Limestone College to a 17-12 win over Wheeling Jesuit in NCAA Division II field lacrosse. The senior attack scored five goals for the No. 3-ranked Saints, upping his Conference Carolinas lead among goal scorers to 15 markers.

AWARD WINNERS

Grandview Steelers Nick Hermary was named the Pacific Junior Hockey League rookie of the year. The 18-year-old forward led the Steelers with 20 goals and 42 total points. Team captain Justin Elliott, 20, won the league's sportsmanship award, registering just six minutes in penalties in 43 league games.

Kaleigh Fratkin of Burnaby helped No. 4-ranked Boston University women's hockey team advance to the NCAA Division I women's Hockey East semifinals. Fratkin registered her 12th assist this season and blocked five shots in Boston's 5-1 win over Connecticut on March 2.
