Stealth Rocked by Toronto in NLL home opener

Lacrosse righthander Rhys Duch set a new Vancouver Stealth franchise all-time points record in loss.

Rhys Duch's Vancouver Stealth franchise points record went for naught at the Langley Events Centre on Saturday.

The talented Victoria righthander had a five-point outing, including a hat trick, to surpass Gary Rosyski's former 530-point record in a 20-11 loss to the visiting Toronto Rock in National Lacrosse League action last week.

But Toronto got even bigger numbers from Josh Sanderson, who led all scorers with four goals and 10 assists, while Rock teammates Rob Hellyer and Brett Hickey had 10 and six points, respectively.

Tyler Digby and Ilija Gajic had five and four points, respectively, for the Stealth.

The Langley-based Stealth are back in action on Saturday, when they host Brandon Goodwin and the Buffalo Bandits at the LEC.
