season.

The second-year forward for the Grandview Steelers counted his first marker of the year on Sunday, 9:55 into the second period.

It gave the Steelers a brief 2-0 lead but was followed 31 seconds later with a goal by Abbotsford’s Brady Morton.

All’s well that ends well, as Grandview held on and kept the visiting Flyers at bay to record a 2-1 win.

Cale Dolan turned aside 23 shots, including eight over the third period, to protect the victory and extend the team’s winning streak to four games.

After a scoreless first period, the Steelers took the lead when Brodie Crawford deposited his seventh of the season – and fourth since coming over in a trade with Richmond – off a powerplay.

Earning assists were Kristofer Zlomoslic, Jeffrey Wong, Emerson Kostner and Devan Purhar.

Grandview, who sit tied with Richmond for third in the Tom Shaw Conference at 12-8-0-1, visit North Vancouver on Saturday before hosting the winless Surrey Knights on Sunday, 7:15 p.m. at the Burnaby Winter Club.
