Steelers rally to trump Sockeyes; BWC alum pays a visit

The Grandview Steelers’ Braeden Gurney scored twice to spark his Pacific Junior B Hockey League team to a 4-2 come-from-behind win over the visiting Richmond Sockeyes on Sunday.
Trailing 2-1 midway through the game, Gurney netted a powerplay goal to tie the score. Forty-two seconds into the third, Timothy Chow put the Steelers ahead, followed four minutes later with a marker from Adam Rota.
Grandview hosts Langley on Sunday, 4 p.m. at the Burnaby Winter Club.


2016 NHL draft prospect back in town
One-time Burnaby Winter Club star Dante Fabbro continues to lead an impressive array of talent with the 23-1-0 Penticton Vees of the B.C. Hockey League.
Fabbro, ranked recently eighth for the 2016 NHL Entry Draft and recently committed to Boston University, will be in Coquitlam on Saturday, 7 p.m. when the hometown Express host Penticton at the Poirier Sports Centre.
