Kamila Wojciechowski was named an honourable mention for the 11thplace St. Thomas More Knights following the B.C. AA high school girls' basketball championships in Kamloops.
The senior STM forward scored a total of 85 points and pulled down 46 rebounds in four games for the Knights.
Wojciechowski posted three double-doubles at the championship tournament, including 26 points and 12 boards in STM's opening 67-58 loss to St. Michael's University School on March 6.
Wojciechowski also had 22 points, 12 rebounds and three blocked shots in a 6859 win over independent rival Notre Dame to secure 11th place at the competition.
Vanessa Pizzolon of Notre Dame shared the scoring lead with 22 points and 10 boards. Burnaby's Jolene Robinson also chipped in with 15 points, including seven-of-10 free throws and five steals for the Jugglers.
STM's only other loss was a 58-54 defeat to Southridge on March 8. Chantelle Gangoso led the squad with 16 points, including four three-pointers. Megan Ho had a 10point, 17-rebound double-double. Domunique Booker added eight points and 15 rebounds, including nine offensive boards.
STM, which came into the provincials ranked fifth in the province, also defeated Kalamalka 62-53 on Wojciechowski's 25-point, 15-rebound outing.
Top-ranked Holy Cross defeated No. 10 Vernon 6937 to take the AA girls' provincial title.
No. 4 overall Wellington Wildcats from Nanaimo edged third-ranked St. Thomas Aquinas 61-55 in the bronze-medal final.
In AA boys', Kelowna Christian beat Brentwood 58-47 in the championship final. Holy Cross took the bronze medal following an 86-75 win over Lambrick Park.
