Striders sprinter on gold track

The Burnaby Striders’ Iossif Georgilas set a furious pace in the boys’ 11-year-old division at the weekend’s Norwester’s Elementary track and field meet at Swangard Stadium.

The Burnaby Striders’ Iossif Georgilas set a furious pace in the boys’ 11-year-old division at the weekend’s Norwester’s Elementary track and field meet at Swangard Stadium. Georgilas won four events: the 60-, 100- and 200-metre dashes and the long jump. Also picking up a first-place result was Sarah Conlin in the 1000m run.

Here are more Striders results: GIRLS, 9 year olds – Ivy Smith, 5th 60m. 12 year old – Stella Smith, 3rd 80H. 13-14 year old – Marisa Mazziotti, 3rd 300m, 7th LJ; Rachel Roberts, 8th 100m, LJ.

BOYS, 10 year old – Max Mazziotti, 2nd LJ. 12 year old – Alec Brent, 2nd 300m, LJ. 13-14 year old – Brendan Lim 5th LJ, 7th 200m.
