Burnaby’s Sarah Tamura posted her best international result on the ISU Junior Grand Prix figure skating circuit, placing eighth in Slovenia last week.
The 15-year-old skated a clean short program, before suffering her only deduction for a fall in the free event, for an overall score of 141.41 at her fourth ISU event.
“I fought through this program today, definitely was not my best but I know what to work on for my next Junior Grand Prix in two weeks,” said Tamura in a press release. “It’s a start but I have a lot of things to work on. I am proud that I fought through it and didn’t give up.”
