University hockey club keeps on winning

The Simon Fraser University hockey club remained unbeaten in the B.C. Intercollegiate league following a 6-1 victory over Eastern Washington last Saturday.

First star Trevor Milner tallied a pair goals to lead the 9-0-1 Clan at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre.

Second star Jono Ceci also had a two-point game, including SFU's third goal in a 3-0 opening period.

Eastern Washington got one goal back in the middle frame, but Milner scored his fifth goal of the year unassisted to start the third period for the Clan.

Taylor Swaffield and Tadz Brown tallied later in the period to give the home club a safe cushion.

SFU goalie Evan Kurylo was called on to make just 18 saves for the win.

This weekend, SFU is at the University of Victoria for a pair of games against the last-place Vikings.

FUNDRAISER VERSUS FIREFIGHTERS

The Simon Fraser University hockey team will be playing an exhibition charity game against the Burnaby Firefighters at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre on Saturday, Dec. 17.

All proceeds will benefit the Burnaby Firefighters Charitable Society's nutritional snack program for local schools.

Following the game, there will be a public skate with the firefighters and SFU hockey players, so bring your skates.
