WLA all-star teams named

New Westminster and Langley dominated the Western Lacrosse Association year-end awards.

Leo Nicholson trophy winner Tyler Richards joined New Westminster Salmonbellie teammates Ian Hawksbee and top defender Curtis Manning on the WLA first all-star team.

Rounding out the squad were Victoria's Rhys Duch, Curtis Dickson and league MVP Scott Ranger of Nanaimo.

Rookie of the year goalie Brodie MacDonald, and Langley defenders Rob Van Beek and John Lintz were three Thunder players named to the all-second team.

Coquitlam forwards Cory Conway and Dane Dobbie, along with New Westminster's Ilija Gajic, were also named to the squad.

Langley's Rod Jensen was named coach of the year, while the Thunder's Brett Mydske was named the league's unsung hero.
