84-year-old man killed in single-vehicle crash in Burnaby

RCMP responded to the collision on Canada Way at Burris Street just after 11 a.m.

Investigators have determined the driver had been travelling eastbound on Canada Way when he left the roadway and slammed into a pole and a parked vehicle, according to police.

He was taken from the scene and died in hospital.

β€œIt is believed that the 84-year-old male driver may have had a medical incident prior to the collision taking place,” stated an RCMP press release.
