Victoria Ronco, one-half of the pair that started Burnaby-based Divina Denuevo, is working on another fashionable project this spring.

The creative duo at Divina Denuevo - Ronco and partner Dave Kelly - create and sell leather bags and accessories embellished with keys and other antique hardware.

Ronco is launching an event called Re-Fashion Vancouver - she defines it as a high-end fashion re-sale - where people can sell new or nearly-new clothing.

"Re-Fashion Vancouver is part spring-cleaning, part massive clothing sale," she wrote in an email to the NOW. "It's the only event of its kind in Vancouver, and designed for condo-dwellers and fashionistas to be able to come together, make some cash by clearing out their closets, and buy new clothes at deep discounts."

The average woman has 22 items of unworn clothing in her closet and the average man has 17 items, she added, saying this is a good way for people to clean out their closets and make some money.

The event is scheduled for April 21 in the exhibition hall at the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre in Vancouver.

Fashionistas who want to rent space to sell their wearables need to register by tomorrow, March 1.

Sellers can apply at the Re-Fashion website: refashionvancouver.com.
