More trees are expected to be cut down in Burnaby Heights in 2020 and the city wants to explain the process.

The trees will be cut down on Boundary Road on the Burnaby side between Oxford and Hastings. Earlier this year, some of the road’s cherry trees were cut down, upsetting some residents who said they didn’t know this was happening.

According to a notice sent to residents, the trees will be cut down in January or February of 2020. They are being cut down due to sewer and watermain replacement project.

A meeting has been set up to hear from residents about this project on Nov. 13, from 6 to 8 p.m., in meeting room 3 at Confederation Community Centre.
