The City of Burnaby is looking for young people to specifically comment on the housing crisis. An application process has been set up for people as part of Burnaby Mayor Mike Hurley’s housing task force.

The City of Burnaby is looking for young people to specifically comment on the housing crisis.

An application process has been set up for people as part of Burnaby Mayor Mike Hurley’s housing task force.

There are 6 young adult spots still available for people age 16 to 30 at the Community Recommendations workshop. If you are in this age group and are interested in attending, you are invited to fill out an application by the April 28 deadline.

The first results of the task force highlighting the anxiety being felt by young people when it comes to their housing options.“This event will bring together about 100 people who reflect the city's diverse backgrounds and interests,” says a posting on the city’s website. “Participants will spend the day examining and evaluating different community housing options for the City of Burnaby and create recommendations for the Mayor’s Task Force on Community Housing.”

Light lunch and child care will be provided.
