The truck was reported stolen in Langley in the early morning hours of Sept. 21.

“Through a coordinated effort which involved Officers from Langley RCMP, Surrey RCMP, Burnaby RCMP, New Westminster Police, Vancouver Police, and the Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team, and Air 1, an adult male was taken into police custody,” said a Surrey RCMP news release.

No charges have been laid as the investigation is on-going.

The incident meant drivers who take Smith Street were diverted onto the busier route off Boundary Road, which has slowed to a crawl.
