The Scandinavian Centre in Burnaby is the centre of Scandinavian culture.
Each year, the centre hosts its annual mid-summer festival, full of good food, music and games.
What games?
Well, there’s the wife-carrying contest that draws big crowds every years. Men run around the course with a woman on their back - with the winning team getting a whole trunkload of beer.
