With donations to food banks dropping and demand rising due to COVID-19 unemployment, more efforts are being made at helping out the Burnaby-based Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

This includes Saturday’s Everyday Superheroes Drive-by Donation Day from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of Cariboo Hill secondary School, 8580 – 16th Avenue.

Pack up a bag or box with non-perishable food items and put it on your trunk. Then just drive up and pop the trunk and volunteers will take your package.

The food will be dispersed to Burnaby residents in need.
