The Burnaby Committee of HUB Cycling is hosting the Exploring North Burnaby by Bike ride on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to noon, starting and ending at the North Burnaby Neighbourhood House at 4908 Hastings St.
The small community ride of up to 15 participants will be escorted by members of HUB Burnaby along an 8.5-km (45- to 60-minute) route in the Heights and Brentwood neighbourhoods, with a mid-point break for a complimentary snack and beverage at Whole Foods.
As well as introducing riders to cycling infrastructure in North Burnaby, a leader will highlight areas where HUB Burnaby is advocating for infrastructure improvements to increase cycling safety and comfort in the city.
