The push to have more people wear face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic has expanded to more grocery stores in Burnaby.

Loblaws says its Real Canadian Superstore outlets, including at Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby, have made masks mandatory for all customers and staff. This follows mandatory mask policies at such other Burnaby stores as T&T and Walmart.

The company’s No Frills stores will also have customers wear masks in order to enter.

“Starting Saturday August 29, 2020 masks or face coverings will be mandatory at all Real Canadian Superstore locations. We appreciate your support as we work together to stop the spread of COVID-19,” reads the company’s post on Facebook.

This follows Dennis’ No Frills at 1916 Como Lake Ave. reporting earlier this week on its Facebook page that one of its team members recently tested positive for coronavirus.
