Do you know a volunteer who gives their all for the City of Burnaby?

Each year, the City of Burnaby presents the Kushiro Cup to its Outstanding Citizen of the Year. The Cup was presented to the City of Burnaby by its Sister City, Kushiro, Japan, in 1982.

Would you like to nominate a Burnaby Citizen to be a recipient of the Kushiro Cup Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award? Early each year, the nomination period is announced on Burnaby’s website, social media sites and in local newspapers. To qualify, nominees must be Burnaby residents who have given voluntary service to this community in cultural, recreational or other non-elected civic activities. The winner is selected by Burnaby City Council.

A resume of each candidate must be supplied as well as the names and contact information of two nominators. Forward nominations to the Clerk’s Office at clerks@burnaby.ca, or mail to the office of the city clerk at 4949 Canada Way, Burnaby, V5G 1M2. The deadline is 4:45 p.m. on Feb. 25.
