Police issue plea to find Burnaby teen who has gone missing

The Burnaby RCMP is requesting the public's assistance in locating 17-year-old Xinming Li. Xinming was reportedly last seen in the 7000-block of 16th Avenue in Burnaby on Monday, September 2.
Xinming is described as a 17-year-old male, 5’9 tall, slim build, short black hair, brown eyes with glasses. It is believed that Xinming was wearing a black jacket, dark jeans and black shoes when he was last seen. He was wearing a small backpack. 
Information gathered through the investigation to date has led police to believe that Xinming may have been in New Westminster in the early hours of Tuesday, September 3. 
“It is uncharacteristic of Xinming to go missing and his family is concerned about his well-being,” said a news release.

Police are asking that anyone who may have seen Xinming or knows of his whereabouts to call the Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999. If they wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers, at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or text BCTIP to 274637 with information.
